One Year After the Uvalde Shooting

New York, NY — “One year ago today, nineteen children and two teachers were shot and killed and seventeen others were injured at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. A cascading series of failures, starting with the failure of our laws, led to this senseless tragedy. We continue to grieve alongside families and loved ones, and fight on in their honor so that we can one day grow up in a world without gun violence.

Tonight, March For Our Lives stands in solidarity at a vigil organized by Uvalde families in remembrance of all those lost. No child should ever have to feel the burden of gun violence, let alone lose their life—yet it’s the reality for far too many. Remember Uvalde and honor with action.”
