Nation’s Leading Youth Organizations Unite to Mobilize Nearly 100,000 Voters to the Polls

With less than two weeks left, young people are flexing their political muscle and demonstrating their power to influence the 2024 election.

PHOENIX, AZ –– Last weekend, young people with March For Our Lives, United We Dream Action, Sunrise Movement, and Gen-Z for Change, mobilized in Arizona and joined forces with Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) and Seed the Vote to knock on doors, turn out voters to the polls, and show the power of youth-led organizing.

In just three days, young people met with voters across Arizona and knocked on nearly 30,000 doors. At the same time, young people with March For Our Lives and Sunrise Movement hit the phones and made nearly 50,000 calls to voters across the country.

Nationwide, young people are doing what we do best—organizing our communities, driving voter turnout, and fighting for the future we deserve. Whether at the doors, on the phones, or online, we have once again proven to be a resilient movement and a powerhouse in our elections.

“We’re not waiting for the future—we’re building it,” said Natalie Fall, Executive Director of March For Our Lives. “Young people know what’s at stake in 2024—our lives—and we’re showing up in communities across the country to ensure they’re protected and prioritized. Every door we knock on, every call we make, and every voter we drive to the polls, brings us one step closer to creating that future.”

“As we approach one of the most critical elections in our nation’s history, Latino communities in Arizona stand at the forefront of the fight for justice and equity,” said Alejandra Gomez, Executive Director of LUCHA. “This is about more than casting a vote—it’s about protecting our rights, our families, and our future. By mobilizing and turning out to vote, we’re ensuring that the voices of those too often overlooked are heard loud and clear. Together, we will reject hate, defend our communities, and fight for a better Arizona.”

“With anti-immigrant politicians sowing fear and hate with lies and legislation in states like Arizona, young people know that our lives are on the ballot in this election,” said Michelle Ming, Political Director of United We Dream Action. “That’s why we’re continuing to wield our political power to defeat white supremacists and pick our next presidential target. Canvassing is a critical way for us to empower our communities to mobilize to the polls and to show them that WE protect us. Young voters aren’t playing around—we’re putting politicians on notice on Election Day and beyond.”

“We have six years left to stop the climate crisis,” said Ariela Lara, 18, a student organizer with Sunrise Movement at the University of California, Berkeley. “We can’t afford for Trump to be President for four of them. Voting is how we take control of our future. We must elect Harris and build the people power needed to force her to enact a bold climate plan that meets the scale of the crisis.”

Gen-Z is committed to building the future we deserve,” said Elise Joshi, Executive Director of Gen-Z for Change. “From knocking on doors to voting up and down ballot to unionizing our workplace to attending city council meetings, we will leverage all the tools at our disposal to secure a sustainable and just world that leaves no community behind.”

“Young people will be one of the key demographics to swing the White House blue again,” said Emily Lee, Executive Director of Seed the Vote. “Our job is to motivate them and affirm that their voice matters and will be critical in this election. That’s why we’re sending over 4000 volunteers from across the country to go knock on the doors of young voters, undecided voters, and low-frequency voters. If you sign up today to volunteer with us, we can get you in a swing state in 48 hours.”

Since breaking youth voter records in the 2018 election, young people have continued to flex our electoral power by voting in record numbers and organizing in races up and down the ballot, creating opportunities for political engagement and putting our priorities on the table. It’s increasingly clear that young voters are crucial to winning elections, and 2024 will be no different. With over 8 million new young voters eligible this year, our influence and impact will be greater than ever. From now until Election Day, young people will meet voters where they are, flex our political and organizing power, and continue to fight for a future where our voices can’t be ignored.
