Cultivate Leaders

The next generation is ready to lead, and we’re here to back them.

Building the next generation of changemakers.

The people closest to gun violence have always led this movement. Our role is to ensure they have the tools, support, and platform to keep leading.

March For Our Lives invests in young people, especially those directly impacted by gun violence, and helps them turn lived experience into leadership that shapes culture, policy, and public conversation.

How We Cultivate.

We identify and support emerging leaders.
We connect with young people across the country who are ready to step into leadership, from survivors and students to organizers already taking action in their communities.

We train them to lead.
Through storytelling workshops, advocacy training, and mentorship, we equip young people with the skills to speak, organize, and lead effectively in high-impact spaces.

We amplify their voices.
We work with youth leaders to place their stories in front of large audiences, from social platforms to national media and public events, ensuring their perspectives shape the broader movement.

March Forward.

Our national youth leadership fellowship is now open through Friday, June 5.

March Forward is a paid fellowship for young people impacted by gun violence who want to grow as leaders, storytellers, and advocates. Fellows receive training, mentorship, and a national platform to share their work and lead projects in their communities.

Through the program, participants will:

  • Develop their voice through storytelling and media training
  • Build skills in advocacy and organizing
  • Receive mentorship and peer support
  • Lead a community-based project
  • Share their work across March For Our Lives’ national platforms
