WASHINGTON, D.C., August 27, 2025 — March For Our Lives expresses grief and outrage following today’s tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis that claimed the lives of 3 children and injured 17 others during morning mass – and demands urgent action to end the gun violence epidemic.

March for Our Lives Co-Founder and Executive Director Jackie Corin said:

“I’m devastated by the news of this morning’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. My heart is with the families of those injured and lost, as well as the young survivors who will carry the enormous trauma and grief that too many of us now hold.

Kids have only been back to their classrooms for a few weeks, and already this school year is scarred by multiple shootings. No parent should fear sending their child to school. No child should pray for safety in a church.

Leaders who let the gun lobby dictate policy have blood on their hands. We know what it takes to stop this: stronger gun laws, accountability for the industry that profits from our pain, and the political courage to act.

We started March For Our Lives because we never wanted another generation to feel this grief. Yet here we are again. Until our leaders choose children over guns, the cycle will continue. And we refuse to let them look away.”
